This was a fun painting that started with a completely different idea but the painting took me to the final result and I actually ended up pretty pleased. Something a little different, although I also see that the bottom half works well as a painting on its own.

Thank you Billie! The teacher I have at the Institute doesn't allow us to used the paint straight from the tube so we have to mix and when I saw the lavender I was about to cover the whole thing up but I guess the red in it soothed it down a bit. Kind of shocking at first!:)
I too would have never put these colors together, but they really work well!
Love this painting! I've been doing alot of painting with red, purple and yellow, I really love this color combo! Great work!
